This health promotion event was jointly organized by the Rotary Club of Hong Kong City North, The Neighborhood Advice-Action Council (NAAC), and Heung To Middle School.

 

The event began with Mr. Orlando To leading all participants in a warm-up exercise, followed by specialist doctors sharing health tips and conducting health check-ups for around 180 elderly attendees.

 

About 50 volunteers participated in today's event, along with over 30 voluntary doctors and healthcare professionals

covering Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Urology, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dentistry, Chiropractic, Music Therapy, Emontion Assessment and Stress Management Expert. A 【Dental Bus】 was also arranged to provide teeth cleaning services for the elderly. The aim was to raise health awareness among the elderly through a series of simple health checks and various types of health talks.

 

Unknowingly, this project has spanned a decade. We thank all participants for their continuous support and hope this health promotion initiative can continue for the next 10, 20, 30 years... and beyond.

 

Coincidentally, today is "International Women's Day": The co-organizing units all have female representatives in key roles – the Interact Club has a female President and Vice-President; NAAC has a female Chief Executive; there is a female District Governor for Rotary; a female District Assistant Governor; and the Rotary Club President is also female.
